Built on community feedback and data-driven strategies, the plan addresses the most pressing needs identified by residents through surveys and engagement sessions. Through strategic partnerships, the People Plan connects residents with essential services, job training, early childhood education, youth development programs, and healthcare access. These efforts are designed to remove obstacles, build skills, and create pathways to prosperity for all ages.
Early Learning & Youth Success
- Expand affordable early childhood education options, including a new Head Start center at the James A. Henry Hub.
- Provide after-school enrichment, STEM programs, and career readiness support for youth.
- Increase access to tutoring, literacy programs, and scholarships.
Economic Mobility
- Connect residents to job training, career counseling, and employment services.
- Remove obstacles to employment, such as childcare, transportation, and professional attire.
- Provide financial literacy programs to help families build long-term stability.
Health & Wellness
- Establish a community health clinic offering primary care, counseling, and substance use treatment.
- Increase access to insurance enrollment assistance and case management.
- Support food security through a new food pantry, meal programs, and nutrition education.
