American Job Center (SETW)
The Southeast Tennessee Local Workforce Development Board supports the Chattanooga Housing Authority’s Choice Neighborhoods grant application for College Hill Courts. Through the American Job Center (AJC) network, AJC will provide job readiness, career counseling, job search workshops, training referrals, and supportive services to residents. The AJC will also offer paid work-based learning opportunities for youth and financial assistance for training-related costs to adult participants. These services will help College Hill Courts residents increase economic mobility, improve labor marketability, and contribute to a skilled, competitive workforce in the region.

BGCC will offer after-school activities such as tutoring, STEM learning, and college prep, along with job readiness training and wellness education. The Clubhouse will provide three hours of programming per day during the school year, extended to six hours during the summer. BGCC’s presence will help foster a positive, engaging environment that supports youth in building essential skills for future success.

EPB also partners with Hamilton County Schools through the HCS EdConnect program, offering free, high-speed home Wi-Fi to qualifying families with children in grades K-12. These initiatives aim to bridge the digital divide, enhance connectivity, and improve access to educational resources and community services for the Westside residents.
