Tomorrow, May 19th at 5:00 pm, there is an exciting opportunity to learn about working for BLOCK Companies, who are the team constructing the new units on the Westside! They are looking for general laborers, painters, dry wall installers, and carpenters! Come join the team and become part of Westside history!

Phase I of the One Westside project is coming along beautifully! The first building is really taking shape, with roofs and balconies now in place. Framing on the remaining buildings is also coming along, and they’ll soon be looking just as great as the first! We can’t wait to see what progress that coming months will bring!

May Partner Spotlight: @cempacommunitycare

Cempa Community Care’s mission is to champion healthy communities by providing affordable, compassionate, and high-quality care through advancing comprehensive support services and person-centered best practices.

Cempa serves as a comprehensive resource for the Chattanooga community. Not only do they have clinics to help community members with their medical, dental, and mental health needs, they also have a food pantry on site, and caseworkers who assist Cempa patients in meeting any additional needs they may have.

The clinic accepts patients with insurance, but also has sliding fee scales for those who are uninsured, or have high medical costs that their insurance will not cover. Their pharmacy is part of a program that receives medications at highly reduced prices, and they pass those savings on to Cempa patients, making costly vital medications, now affordable.

We have another amazing Employment Resource Class for our College Hill Court residents coming up next Tuesday, May 12th! This class will cover the valuable topics of interviewing skills and dressing for success, and you won’t want to miss it! There are two different times that you can attend: 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. We look forward to helping you to be successful in your job and career journey!

At College Hill Courts, we had an amazing Employment Resource Class this morning taught by our amazing Angela Malone and Dr. Robin Sturnes! Resident’s learned skills such as writing a resume that stands out, discovering their skills, and writing a winning cover letter. There will be a second session today at 5:00 pm in the Assembly Room that you won’t want to miss! Can’t make today’s session or want to learn even more? On May 12th there will be two more sessions that focus on interview skills and dressing for success!
